Dr. Andri Hayes

Dr. Andri Hayes joins us from Stillwater, Minn., where she grew up. She received her bachelor's degree in animal science from North Dakota State University and graduated with her veterinary medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-School of Veterinary Medicine.

"I've always loved animals. Growing up I bottle fed kittens all the time," she said. "I started out interested in equine, but in North Dakota I worked on the campus dairy and realized I really liked cows."

After undergraduate school, Hayes worked as a herdsman in North Dakota for one year. She moved to Wisconsin working as a herdsman on a 6,000-cow dairy by Broadhead for another 2 1/2 years and then started vet school in 2020.

Her favorite job in veterinary medicine is working with adult cows.

Hayes lives in the Brownsville area with her cat Einstein. She enjoys kayaking, hiking and the outdoors. She also loves to garden.
